Flight Packages

Do I need any flying experience?
Absolutely not, these packages can be tailored to suit the level of knowledge and experience you have.
Will I get to fly the simulator?
Yes, as much as you can cope with. These packages are designed to give you as much hands on flying as you can handle.
Do I have to complete the first flight package before I can do the others?
No, You can do any flight package without any experience.
How technical is the briefing and flight, will I understand it all?
Yes you will. The flights and briefings are structured to informative as opposed to technical.
Is this done as a group or one on one?
Each flight is conducted one on one with you and your instructor.

Can I bring a friend along?

Yes you can, there is seating for two extra people to join you for your flight.
There is no extra charge.

What is the minimum age?

Our recommended minimum age is 12.
There is no maximum age.

Do gift vouchers expire?

Gift vouchers expire twelve months after purchase. (NZ six months)

How do I book a flight date and time?

To make a booking contact your nearest Flight Experience branch.

Can a voucher recipient upgrade when they book?

Yes,the flight can be upgraded by payment of the difference between the current charge for the upgraded flight and the value of the gift voucher.

Simulator

Is the simulator fully enclosed?
Yes it is.
Does it have certification for training?
Yes it does, it has CAA certification to do up to half of an instrument rating, as well as a number of instrument flying currency credits.
Does the simulator have motion?
No, it is a fixed base trainer. However the fidelity of the outside view visuals gives you a very good sense of motion
